Inclusive Workplaces for Sustainable Communities

Over the past several years, our team members have initiated, developed or managed several community-based projects. These have included the creation of a community greenhouse program to train and employ several individuals who had been out of the labour force for extended periods. Other projects have focused on Return To Work programs for older workers, the development of an independent housing model for adults living with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, and several community-based training programs.

  • Six Steps to Success conference – international conference on “employment & disability”
  • Yukon Disability Employment Strategy – developed a model for the delivery of co-ordinated services to employers, job seekers with disabilities, and service organizations
  • Options For Independence – developed and implemented an independent housing program for adults with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
  • Developed the M.A.S.T. (Motivation, Assistance, Skills Training) model of skills training for adults with a range of disabilities
